Upgrading Cisco Nexus Switches

Use the following procedures to upgrade the firmware of Cisco Nexus switches in a VxRack FLEX.

About these tasks

The following two topics describe how to update the Cisco Nexus 3132QX, 3164Q, 3172TQ, 93180YC, and 9332PQ switches in a VxRack FLEX.

Note: Not all switches may be present in each VxRack FLEX configuration.
  • Starting with Release 7.0(3)I2(1) and later releases, a single image is used for booting the Cisco Nexus 3000 Series platforms. The kickstart and system images used previously are no longer required. The single image binary now boots up on both Cisco Nexus 3000 and 3100 Series platforms and Cisco Nexus 9000 Series platforms.
