Configuring and viewing alerts You can configure VxFlex Manager to receive and display alerts from discovered VxFlex integrated rack components. The alert connector is available through VxFlex Manager. It sends email alerts on the health of VxFlex nodes securely through Secure Remote Services. Secure Remote Services routes alerts to the Dell EMC support queue for diagnosis and dispatch. During node discovery, you can configure iDRAC nodes to automatically send alerts to VxFlex Manager. VxFlex Manager receives SNMP alerts directly from iDRAC and forwards them to Secure Remote Services. You must manually configure CloudLink and Dell EMC Networking OS10 switches to send alerts to VxFlex Manager. If not done at discovery, you can configure iDRAC nodes to automatically send alerts to VxFlex Manager by editing the alert connector settings and selecting the Configure nodes for alert connector option. NOTE: The alert connector does not replace any monitoring software that you might already have, including any already available through the VxFlex integrated rack such as VxFlex OS Connect Home. As of VxFlex Manager version 3.3, OpenManage Enterprise is no longer required to connect to Secure Remote Services. If you use OpenManage Enterprise for other functionality, note that it is no longer installed and we recommend using VxFlex Manager instead. In future upgrades, we will recommend removing this software module. Child TopicsConfiguring SNMP trap and syslog forwardingYou can configure VxFlex Manager for SNMP trap and syslog forwarding.
