Encrypt a data volume on a self-encrypting drive Use this procedure to encrypt a data volume on a self-encrypting drive. About this task You can encrypt a data volume on a self-encrypting drive (SED), as long as SED encryption is not being managed by CloudLink. If SED encryption is managed by CloudLink, then volume encryption is blocked. You do not need an SED license to encrypt data volumes on an SED. NOTE: CloudLink does not support boot volume encryption on physical machines. Procedure Log in to CloudLink Center. Click Agents > Machines. Select the check box next to the SED whose data volume you want to encrypt. Click Actions > Encrypt. The Encrypt dialog box is displayed. From the Volumes list, select the data volume. Click Encrypt. Parent topic Encrypt a volumeBy using CloudLink Center, you can encrypt system partitions or data volumes.
