Reserve compute servers for manual VCF deployment Before starting manual deployment of VCF, you must reserve the compute servers so that they are not used for PowerOne workload Cluster Resource Groups (CRGs). VCF requires a minimum of four vSAN capable servers for the management domain. Procedure Log in to PowerOne Navigator. Click Inventory. Under Components, select Servers. A list of servers is displayed. Click the service tag of the servers that you want to reserve. The Server Inventory Details page is displayed. Click Reserve. The Reserve Server dialog box is displayed. Select Reserve for DTC and click Reserve. To reserve additional servers, repeat steps 3 to 6. The reserved sleds are not available during CRG creation. Parent topic Preparing PowerOne for manual deployment of VCFThis chapter explains the procedures to run on Dell EMC PowerOne before you manually deploy VCF. Ensure that all networking services such as AD, DCHP, DNS, and NTP are available to VCF in the external environment as they are not provided by the PowerOne Controller.
